I’m really not a candy or chocolate fanatic.  I do prefer white chocolate to milk. And my  favorite chocolate bar is made mostly of  honeycomb that melts in the mouth–VIOLET CRUMBLE! I’m having a diabetic seizure  just by thinking of it  But when I chanced upon DYLAN’S CANDY BAR at the Florida Mall in Orlando, I was hooked!

Dylan’s Candy Bar is the brainchild of Ralph Lauren’s daughter, Dylan Lauren.  Here’s an example of a girl who didn’t want rest on her father’s laurels so she made a name for herself by starting her own brand.  She did learn a thing or two from Daddy. The store’s interior triggers a multi-sensory experience and screams Americana all throughout.  You can find all kinds of candy  (7,000 kinds from al over the world) inside the store in neat packages and containers.  What I liked most  was that there were other non-candy products being sold too — t-shirts, rainboots, bags, earrings etc.  There’s also a delicious line of skin products — chocolate/candy-flavored lotions, cupcake body cream and ice cream sugar scrub.

This year, the world’s largest confectionery emporium and lifestyle brand that is Dylan’s Candy Bar, has partnered with CLAIRE’S (retailer of fashionable accessories for girls).   News has it that the collaboration will include  gumball necklaces, nail polish , lip gloss and tech accesories among others.  The best part is that everything will cost under USD16 (0r roughly Php660)!  Imagine having a cupcake or a candy bar phone case — Delectable!

 A lot of big name celebrities are fans of this brand.  Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Kylie Jenner — to name a few.

My own collection includes a tote bag, slippers, shirts, mints in cute aqua canisters etc.  I’ve also tried her body cream and sugar scrub.
Of course, the BQP didn’t miss a chance to visit the store during her last trip to Los Angeles.  The brood spent a good hour inside Dylan’s Candy Bar at THE GROVE on Third and Fairfax.  Hubby A bought a dozen chocolate bars and the Queen bought some sweet merchandise too. The little diva cried when it was time to leave.

The store hasn’t made it to the Manila yet but we do have Claire’s here already.  The BQP will surely check out Claire’s to see if they carry Dylan’s newest items.  ‘Will keep you posted ROYALS!
