Christmas is barely two weeks away! However challenging the last nine months have been, there is much to be thankful for. It does not matter that we have to forego the grand reunions and Christmas parties, what’s important is that we share the spirit of Christmas with our families at home.

The Maya Kitchen has a long legacy of creating delicious dishes that can be easily made by any homemaker. This season is no different. Our celebration may be scaled down for safety reasons but we can still have a memorable gathering with food prepared in our very own kitchens. Straight from The Maya Kitchen, here are three show-stopping  recipes that will definitely brighten your Christmas spread!

Start the holiday course with something warm and hearty. The Marseille Seafood Soup is a flavorful French soup and a sure crowd pleaser. It may be served with your favorite seafood like shrimp, clams or lobster. Add some saffron powder for an attractive ochre colored broth.

A warm bowl of Marseille Seafood Soup paired wit bread stick is a good choice to serve on Christmas Day.

For the piece de resistance, why not really get into it and try your hand at cooking Lechon Belly with Bacon Saffron Rice Stuffing? Who can resist the juicy tenderness of pork belly and the crispiness of lechon? Add the earthy flavor of saffron rice and it’ll be a perfect Yuletide gathering!

This Lechon Belly will surely be the star of the Nche Buena feast this year!

For dessert, why not reinvent a Filipino classic? Elevate the flavor of the simple bibingka by creating other variants such as ube, buko pandan, coffee and even chocolate. Top it with slices of leche flan or chocolate shavings and see your whole family devour the mini bibingkas one by one.

Make it a colorful Christmas! Assorted Mini Bibingkas are delicious dessert alternatives.

Make your celebrations more meaningful by preparing a home-cooked meal or simply add to your favorite take out orders , if you please.  Happy Christmas , everybody!
